Walnut Burger review

I recently had the opportunity to indulge in The Trempealeau Hotel's infamous Walnut Burger. My wife and I were visiting friends in Winona and stopped Jefferson Pub & Grill for a bite to eat. They had an interesting lunch special called "A Walnut Burger". What an amazing find! The Walnut Burger was served on a whole wheat Kaiser roll with alfalfa sprouts, tomato and honey mustard. I had my choice of a fresh fruit, fries, soup, or side salad. I opted for the in season fruit which nicely rounded off the experience.

The ingredients in the burger are: Walnuts, cheddar cheese, low fat mozzarella cheese, bread crumbs, onions, tamari, eggs, canola oil, herbs and spices. After a little research I found out the burgers are available prepackaged at several locations around the Midwest. They list all locations at http://www.walnutburger.com/ ...but of course nothing can compare to having one made fresh and placed before you ;-)
