I was looking for a discussion on this board of the recent WSJ piece on aging beef at home, which mentions chowhound (when it refers to: "Trolling through meat threads on food Web sites Chowhound and eGullet ..."). The WSJ URL is:
I finally realized that someone had posted the full article here and that chowhound management removed it. Unfortunately, you can't read the piece at the WSJ site unless you're an online subscriber or know one willing to arrange for you to have a free copy.
There's little new information in the Journal piece for many chowhounds -- so don't go to special trouble to get it -- but it was interesting, and it's also nice to see our community mentioned (again) in one of the best newspapers in the world. I wonder if the cnet people could obtain permission to reprint?
Of course, a lot of us know how to find articles like this without creating legal problems.
