Using Walk-In Freezer to Cool Food

I'm lucky enough to live in a dorm with kitchen facilities that include a walk-in freezer. It's about 9'x5'x9', maybe a little less. Today I roasted some cauliflower and since I didn't want to leave it out in a communal kitchen to cool, I carried it into the freezer and stood there for around a minute. It cooled (I'm not talking refrigerator cold, I'm talking sitting-outside-for-a-while cold) and I put it in the fridge and that was it.

Now I'm wondering if the cooling process (or, I think more likely, me standing there) would be enough to throw things off in the same way that warm food in a refrigerator warms stuff around it.

What do you think? Thanks.
