MOODY'S DINER. This old fashioned diner is a Maine institution and usually jammed at mealtime. If you are interested go at off hours and sit at the counter. I first ate there maybe 20 years ago. Susan and I thought the lobster and clam rolls were only acceptable but the strawberry shortcake was outstanding. Soaked berries, homemade biscuits and whipped cream. The thing here is the ambiance (1950?)and diner food and ME specialties. Some people I am sure say Moody's is a tourist trap. I agree but I like it. On the East side of Route 1.
