Vung Tau (Vietnamese) in Milpitas - Great dry noodle

Han Lukito | Dec 1, 200208:13 PM

A Vietnamese person recommended a noodle dish that is outstanding IMO. The best spelling for the dish is ME BAN NAM SEDEC KHO. I ordered it dry with separate soup which is important to remember. A good sized bowl of egg noodle with various things in it. First, one big shrimp that is nice and plump. Then one big crab pincher. Also, thin slices of pork. On top, a slightly sweet salty sauce which is probably also has bits of crabs and pork rinds. It also comes with a fried fritter with a whole shrimp inside. Then finally a generous side of bean sprouts, celery leaves and jalapeno. The soup which is probably chicken broth with green scallions are also provided in a separate bowl. This dish is awesome. Price is around $7

I have eaten numerous pho and also Tung Kee noodle but this dish is quite unique.

We also ordered the combo rice plate which is a bit pricier here than some other places ranging from $7-9. Also the broken rice is much less generous in portion.
