Another Vote for Mina's

Having heard the positive reviews of Mina's in Sunnyside I decided to go there for lunch today (I am visiting from DC, so spent the day shopping at my favorite NYC haunts--Sahadi on Atlantic Avenue, Kossars and The Pickle Guys in the Lower East Side, Zabar's, etc) and I was not at all disappointed! The place seemed shut--the big rolling metal gate was only half-open and I found myself crouching down to maneuver the front door open to ask if they were indeed open for business, and then entered limbo-fashion when they said they were--and I was the only patron, but they were very gracious and served up a declicious lunch of Chicken Makhni with roti. The sauce was delectable, and they did not skimp on the spiciness, as I asked them not to. I would definitely go back, though preferably with a crowd so we could try a larger variety of fare!
