Ah, Vong. My husband took me there last night for my birthday, and while I was afraid that it had gone downhill in the many years since I had last been there, I was pleasantly surprised.
My foie gras appetizer flavored with ginger and served with warm sliced mango was melty-licious, and the grilled beef main course served in a ginger broth with noodles was wonderful. My husband enjoyed his prawn satay and rabbit curry. He had a wonderful mango tart with basil ice cream for dessert, and I had their ultimate after-dinner drink, an "Afterglow," which you'll love if you like Andes candies.
Our server, who admitted that this was her last week working at Vong, was very pleasant, and we were well-attended to although our main courses took a little while to show up.
