I just got back this week from a 10-day food journey to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. Yes, I basically wandered around for 10 days looking for food.
I tried to sample as many local favorites as possible from the most highly-regarded restaurants/hawker stands I was able to locate. This plan worked much better in Singapore than in KL as I was reduced to limiting my food options to the main part of the city there.
There are a few things I wish had gone better about the trip, but overall I think I accomplished/ate most everything I set out to.
I thought this might be useful for other people on this board and wanted to share it. :)
