Visiting Toronto (and Niagara) from Boston

Joanie | Apr 19, 201706:00 AM

It seems like folks from Toronto are always asking questions on the Boston board (such as it is these days since things slowed down), I'm reversing the trend. Will be in TO for 3 days in mid June. Will try to find a well located Air BnB so we can walk most places. Can you help with the following:

One nicer meal of northern Italian, Mediterranean, or gastropub type food in a "cool" place, entrees in the $16-30 range.

Good donuts, preferably of the mom and pop variety. I read about Venezia's on Ossington, Emma's and Rachelle's but that was a thread from 5 years ago.
Or good bakeries in general (scones, cookies, croissants)

Well made cocktails in a nicer setting as well as fun dives esp. if there's rock music involved. Always love a good hot dog or burger.

Best lunch deal in Chinatown.

Anything else that's different from or better than Boston?

And do people like Jamie Oliver's restaurant in the Sheraton on the Falls in Niagara? I have a res right now for a Mon. nite which we'll probably keep. What else is worth checking out for our one day there?

Thanks in advance.
