Visiting a temple of sushi with a large group?

I will be in Tokyo for a few days with a total group of 5 people. I have been reading the Chowhound posts which are very helpful to try to make reservations, but I am concerned that a lot of these sushi restaurants seem to have 6-8 seats total and we would be occupying the majority of the restaurant. If the chef can speak some English, this probably would be okay, but none of us can speak Japanese so I'm worried it may be uncomfortable if we have a big group there and can't communicate

Can you recommend any mid-to-high end sushiyas that would be okay accommodating a group of 5 non-Japanese speakers? Looking for under 20k yen per person probably, with seating at counter so we can watch the chef prepare sushi. Lunch or dinner is okay
