Visiting Ft. Lauderdale from NYC --- Need advice, please!

Hi all! So, my bf and I (both NYC chowhounders) are visiting Ft. Lauderdale this weekend and need some recs. Unfortunately, we don’t really know much around where we’re staying (Hyatt at Pier 66) and are hoping to get some valuable feedback from you guys as to where we must go. FYI, we don’t have a car and would prefer places within walking distance (do we need a car?). We get in Fri. evening and leave Mon. afternoon.

What we’re looking for: All in all, nothing too fancy. Casual brunch options with solid food, seafood restaurants, authentic Cuban, maybe something with a live band or a place lively in general with good food, some place on the water, and general restaurants that we shouldn’t miss. Focus is on the food!

Some places that have been recommended to us: Spiaggia, brunch at the Riverside Hotel, Café Martarano, Samba Room, 15th St. Fishery, and The Rustic Inn…thoughts on these?
