Hello! I'm visiting Philly over Easter weekend and need some help sorting through the options. My biggest concerns are making sure places will actually be open and figuring out how to get to them.
I'm from Toronto (the other Toronto visitor thread has been helpful :) - travelling alone, staying at the Sofitel and getting around by walking/public transit/taxi. I'm not concerned about price and not fussy about atmosphere. I like cocktails and am not interested in cheesesteak/Mexican/pizza/Thai/Indian/hig-end white-glove dining this time around. I've been to Philly several times growing up but this will be my first visit in 10+ years.
Apr 22 (Fri): Coming in by Megabus and my plan is Paesano's (how big are the sandwiches? they all look so good, i want to try as many as possible!) - Eastern State Penitentiary - Museum of Art (Art after 5) - Kanella.
Apr 23 (Sat): Reading Terminal Market (how early can I get a DiNic's sandwich? or should i skip DiNic's this time and get an Arista at Paesano's instead?) - Mural tour (10am) - Han Dynasty - Old City - Franklin Mortgage (early evening) - Oyster House/Fish/Little Fish? (I figure I might not be too hungry so am looking for a place for late evening light dinner/snacks, maybe 9pm or later).
Apr 24 (Sun): I'm flying out of PHL at 2pm so was thinking of breakfast/brunch at Famous 4th Street Deli since it seems convenient for the Sofitel. All the other Sunday brunch options I looked up started at 11pm and I'm not sure if that might be a bit tight on time?
Paesano's is my must-eat; everything else is negotiable depending on what's open and convenient :)
