Vi's closed Feb1-Mar17 (downtown Oakland)

Marc Wallace | Jan 30, 200204:08 PM     7

After hearing so many folks rave about the duck noodle soup at Vi's, I headed down there today. I'd been intending to go soon -- glad I did so today, as there was a sign on the door saying they'll be closed for vacation/renovation until March 18th!

So if you planned to go there any time soon, it had better be real soon -- like tomorrow.

The duck noodle soup was quite tasty, especially after I asked for some basil (rather than cilantro). At first I was worried because the duck wasn't in little bits, but was just a wing floating in there -- so I assumed it was a "pick up and eat" wing. When I finally tried it and found that it just fell off the bone (whew!), it added a lot of flavor to the soup.
