Restaurants & Bars

Vintage - Woonsocket

Tried this fabulous new establishment tonight - and want to rave.
Knew the evening would be nice, when complementary valet parking greeted us.
We started out with cocktails in the upstairs lounge area. Let me tell you, the owners did an amazing renovation job. The place looks stunning and will certainly be a hot spot for swanky diners, as well as private parties.
Our drinks were delicious - I had the ginger margarita - which was smooth, but definitely had a kick to it. My companions enjoyed a cosmo, beer and a regular mixed drink.
The staff was excellent and very well trained, especially for a new restaurant. We started with a salad (really good, perhaps a tad over-dressed) and the calamari. Nice touch that the severs pour the sauce for the calamari tableside. Bread was great too - served with a red pepper hummus. Then, I had the seared salmon, on top of a lentil/spinach ragu topped with crispy onions. Excellent and perfectly cooked. My companions had the strip steak, chicken and tuna. Everyone raved about the food. Pretty well priced too - entrees are in the $20-$28 range. Not bad.
All in all, I think it's a great spot with a lot of potential. Owner told us the menu will change monthly. That, I like.
