Vintage Hotpoint Stove parts

I recently moved into a house with a 1948 Hotpoint Electric Range. There are 4 burners, one of which is called a French Fryer--I think. It's essentially an 8" burner that is set into 6 1/2" deep well in the stovetop. Unfortunately the pot is missing so I can't use the burner. I'm not sure that even if I had the pot it would function like the rest of the burners, but I'd like to try it since having just 3 burners is a problem. Has anyone every used a burner like this or know where I can find a replacement pot?
