Shockingly enough, my cooking-equipment ambivalent SO actually produced an old set, a set mind you, of 70's vintage Descoware from his basement that he never uses because "they're too heavy"...Yeah, much better to use that warped Farberware..
Anyway, this stuff, the Belgian predecessor of Le Creuset, has a weird coating inside some of the pieces, esp. one skillet. While the others are lined with a grey version of the shiny, cream colored Le Creuset enamel, this one pan has a sort of dark, matte grey finish...I'm not sure what ot is, or how to handle it...I have already proved it is NOT non-stick...;)
Any ideas on what it is, and its care and feeding?
