Vinoteca or Tabaq or Hominy?

Hi all,

First time poster. Information on DC restaurants seems to be elusive.

I'm coming to DC this weekend (from Philly) to visit a friend and four of us want to grab dinner on Saturday night. I'd like to go to a neighborhood-y place which is sophisticated but comfortable and has good food. No preference to a particular cuisine, just a good vibe and good food, though preferably in or around 14th and/or U Streets in the Dupont/Logan area.

If anyone is familiar with Philly restaurants, I'm looking for something similar to the vibe at Mercato or Tinto or Lolita.

The three restaurants in the tag line have openings in OpenTable, but we're open to anything. I've been past Cork before and that seemed nice, but it looks (from the menu) as though the emphasis is more wine bar and less food.

Ideas? Commentary (rankings?) on the above would be appreciated though I'm open to other ideas as well (and quick!) because I'd like to make my reservation asap.
