vinnyd eileen eat s.f. - a much- belated report

Sorry for the late feed back - what can I say except - summer...
So first of all I did go to Chez Panisse (upstairs) and I have to say I think I agree with everyone - I would have been sad if I didn't go and forever curious, and it was nice and good but not that great and the service was pretty lame. Now, we don't drink, so we don't need much attention with wine, etc. but an occasional hello, do you need anything would have been nice! Also went on the first day. Oh yeah and after the airport we went to the Ramp and that was pretty perfect - beautiful day, ate outside, parked in the lot, easy to find.
Sunday - breakfast at Bettes Oceanview - most excellent pancakes
Thanks for that suggestion, went there 2x, ate the same pancakes, a rare thing for us to do. ( lemon ricotta) Sunday evening ate at Hog Island Oysters for the Cioppinno and oysters, most excellent, sat at oyster bar. Oh yeah went to Nopalito for lunch - loved that place fish tacos, spicy watermelon salad, yum!
Monday - Little Louies for breakfast ( twice) - wish I was there right now
Cotogna for lunch - mixed feelings - food delicious except melon salad was disgusting, but pricey and small servings - could have eaten 100 of those ravioli instead of the 7 they gave me. $70 for lunch and hungry afterwards. Dinner at Bistro Boudin - really great - maybe touristy but salmon better there than at chez panisse.
Wednesday went to Monterrey Bay Aquarium - funky strawberry farm on the way, lunch at the aquarium - not bad - dinner at Burger in Santa Cruz -was starving - it hit the spot.
Thursday went to FISH in Sausalito - nice vibe to this place but food only eh - soup was great, fish tacos overcooked, great corn.
Went to Swan Oyster Depot for lunch one day - don't remember which day - ate oysters and seafood salad, very fun dude served us, we loved this place, esp. cuz when we got there there was no line!
Friday Dipsea Café for breakfast - this place was great, went after going to Muir Woods at 6 a.m., really enjoyed it. Finally get to go to Birite Creamery, will dream about this ice cream for rest of my life, enough said... Was exhausted and had to pack, went to Thai place in Point Richmond, thanks whoever rec this place, it was amazing and we were so tired and hungry and it was just great. Amazing how much you can try to still eat when you are so full if the food is good, right?

I know I missed a few things, (we went to Acme bread at some point and ate bread all day) but I cant remember them. Hope some of these comments help someone else make decisions. There were so many great places and only so manymeals you can fit into a week... All in all it was a great trip and thanks for all the help. Again sorry for the delayed report, was traveling quite a bit this summer!
