Vineburg Deli (Sonoma)

Malcolm Ruthven | Mar 8, 201806:59 AM

Vineburg Deli, at the corner of Napa Road and 8th Street in Sonoma, has a real-wood-fire bbq grill outside that it uses to cook tri-tip and other meats. This is not a bbq joint, but instead a deli that uses meat cooked over a wood fire in its sandwiches. Go with the right expectations and it's great. I had their Hot Tri-Tip sandwich and thought it was just fine, with the great-flavored beef shining through the other ingredients including the house bbq sauce that must have been on the mild side since I didn't specifically notice it. This place is definitely on my lunch rotation when I'm in Sonoma. Closed on Sunday.
