Viko's Cafe in Corona

Astoria Boyz | Jan 31, 2005 09:43 PM

We ate at Viko's on Friday evening 1/14/05 and Saturday evening 1/29/05. On the 14th, there was one other couple and a single patron and on the 29th we were the only patrons. This place is amazing, and yet because of the low traffic I'm worried that this gem might disappear. If you have not tried Viko's, I suggest you do sooner than later and help support this restaurant. Getting to the restaurant via the 7 train is ultra easy as well. Viko, as you probably know, was the chef at La Flor Bakery/Cafe and this is his own endevor. Tinga salad, braised lamb shank with avocado leaves, oven-backed jumbo shrimp stuffed with crab, and dry chilies barbecued baby back ribs are among our favorites. Find your own. Just GO!

41-07 National Street, Corona, Queens 11368, (718) 651-4595, Open 7 days/week,10.30am - 9pm
