Vietnamese in Gardena (by Torrance)

I am a recent addition to the LA area and recently started working in Torrance. I am a huge fan of vietnamese food and I've read that there are a ton of vietnamese restaurants out in Westminster but that's too far for the lunch hour...

Today I found Pho Phi Long and I'll definitely be returning soon :) It's close to my office (405/Western Ave), quick and tasty. A guy came in after me and the waiter acknolwedged him and asked if he'd like the usual. yeah, that's what I like to hear. When my food came, the portion was a good size and felt like an excellent bang for the buck.

I had Bun Thit Nuong, Cha Goi (vermicelli with the charbroiled pork & egg roll) and was very pleased with it. There was some spicy lettuce in the vermicelli that gave it a nice kick. As an afterthought, I got an appetizer (grounded shrimp wrapped on a sugar cane stick) and on my way out, my waiter recommended a different vermicelli (w/ shrimp paste, charbroiled meat ball, & egg roll) to try for my next visit - nice.

And, if the Pho is as good the vermicelli, I may never find Westminster. Anyway, here's the info on it:

Pho Phi Long
1749 W. Redondo Beach Blvd (& S. Western Ave.)
Gardena, CA 90249

Definitely check it out. And, if you know something better, I look forward to finding it too!

Also, are there any good banh mi (Vietnamese Sandwiche) places near the 405 & Western?
