This post is prompted by my dinner last night at Sunflower, which was decent--but not outstanding. Of course, this may be due to the fact that my girlfriend was "tired of eating meat," so we got tofu with lemon grass, which was flavorful, but not spicy enough for my tastes, and garlic onion eggplant, which was bland, unattractive and undercooked...also, the eggplant was sliced too thinly for my tastes.
I've been there before with a lot of people and had their fish and seafood dishes, which I thought were very tasty...(I don't remember exactly what we got).
In any event, I would like to re-visit what Austin has to offer as far as Vietnamese.
I like Pho Hoang for pho--buts it's very far from my house
I like Kim Phung for vermicelli noodle dishes.
Any suggestions or comments?
