Viet House in WPB

Jerry Bank | Jan 19, 2002 07:04 PM

My wife and I had lunch at the Viet House, which is in a new little shopping center called Habitat on Okechobee, just a bit east of Military Trail.

It was a bit disappointing, since it is not really aimed at an Asian clientele. Much of the menu consists of pretty standard Chinese dishes.

I had their special pho. It was OK. However, the broth did not have that intense flavor that really good pho has. The portion was fair and the price not too bad.

I only wish that there were a Vietnamese restaurant in the area that catered to a Vietnamese crowd. The Red Cyclo in Boynton Beach is not the answer, nor is Viet House.

Since I return to snowy New Jersey on Monday, I guess that finding the good place will have to wait until next time I am here.
