Just discovered this stand-alone butcher on the SW corner of the 10/National/Palms confluence.
It seems like a cool place, interesting characters. I happened upon it by accident, so I wasn't really sure what to explore... on the face of it, there seemed to be some deals, but also pricey fare (in terms of meat counters... but in perspective, no less pricey than a good restaurant).
Any regulars out there who have some tips on what to try? I'd love to support local specialists rather than the crappy meat/shrimp counter at Albertsons. Keep in mind that my budget ain't big, but I will spend if the return on investment is fair.
