I was at a dinner meeting at the Victoria Chinese Restaurant at the Royal Centre last week, and while the focus was on the meeting and not the dinner, the food our host ordered was very fresh and tasty.
Interesting dishes (at least to me, who seldom ventures beyond the On Lok Noodle House) included a sea bass and tofu combination, deep fried squid in strips , several well-seasoned seafood dishes containing plenty of sea scallops, and seafood fried rice heavy on the sea food.
Our host also ordered mango pudding for everyone for dessert, which contained bits of fresh mango and was finished with a sweeted coconut milk/condensed milk sauce.
This is a very large room, which seems to do its main business during the lunch hour. Service was pleasant and attentive, and the food was very very good.
