Lastest Addiction: Restaurant Websites

Oh, oh to be blessed with enough funds to frequent, in person, ever wonderful restaurant I find on the web.

I read the menu at St. John Restaurant in London almost every day.

Wouldn't I like to have a Pot Roast Gloucester Old Spot & Prunes or Braised Venison Shoulder & Mash - (for three to four or for five to six) for lunch finished off with Steamed Pear & Treacle Pudding (for two).

Perhaps we would start with Roast Bone Marrow & Parsley Salad or Crispy Pig's Skin & Dandelions.

Then again, Grouse is in season.

Then again, maybe I'll just plan my dinner party because the Late Autumnal Feasting Menu has been released.

Of course, if we didn't want a formal lunch we could go to St. John Bread and Wine. They specialize in "things on toast."

At 8:00 a.m. you can get a Old Spot Bacon Sandwich or a Brace of Kippers.

Wouldn't my life be so much better if I had Seed Cake served with a glass of Maderia at 11:00 a.m. every day?

I don't know what Bloater Toast is but I certainly want some. I also want Roast Shallots & Goats Curd, Smoked Trout, Potatoes & Spinach, or Quail & Aioli (each). I want more "each" in my life.

AHH. Why are they torturing me with this menu updating!

Another website I can't resist: http://www.chezpanisse.com/downmenu.html

Any favorites?
