We've eaten at Vespa on numerous occasions and enjoy their Osso Bucco served with Risotto $28 - a little expensive for an inexpensive cut of meat but a nice treat once in a while. Went there on Sat. night and the menu read: Osso Bucco P/A. I asked our server to explain and he told us depending on the size its now priced between $28-$38. A small piece is $28 a medium is somewhere in the middle (can't remember the exact amount) and large is $38. Huh? My experience with this particular dish is that sometimes I get a huge bone with very little meat and other times visa versa, so by whose judgment is the size being determined? the wait person? chef? owner? All rhetorical questions. Is this now the new trend for Osso Bucco or is it just at Vespa? Has anyone else had similar experiences? btw, we didn't order it. We wanted to talk to the owner before we left and though the place is small, he wasn't visible.
