We had lunch at Versailles, Sunday. The first thing that I noticed was that the Chicken and Pork Combo. was $12.95 instead of $10.95 as it has been for over 10 years. I opened the new looking menu and found that the prices had finally gone up about 20%. It is still a major bargain. The best part of this is that they have added many new items to the menu. I tried Tostones for the first time (flattened and fried green plantains). They were excellent to eat with the meal. They have added sandwiches to the menu and also some more yucca dishes. There are more seafood choices as well. They were quite full so I guess the price increase has made no difference. I will have fun over the next few months trying many of these new items. As far as I can tell, it is a good thing.
