veronica's haitian restuarant, orlando

zim | Aug 6, 200204:16 PM

last week, as i was leaving for the airport from a meeting in orlando , I had a long talk with my cabbie.

He was a haitian guy, and was very excited to give me his views on haitian history, culture, current politics, etc. Of course I asked him where to get some haitian food in orlando.

At first he started talking about some place with a nice terrace, etc. I cut him off and asked "and what if I don't care about the room?". He said if you just want the food, good food, where he eats is a place called veronica's (I think on the same street as international mall). I took his card and made a note to look it up next time I'm in town.

I tried to find an address for the place via yahoo but can't find anything (or on google either)

Does any of this ring a bell for anyone? If so, how's the food?
