I make myself a Gin martini pretty much every night. Bombay Sapphire is my most frequently used gin, but I also enjoy Brokers and Fords. I always put a good splash of dry vermouth in the shaker, and serve the martini up with an olive. I have used Noilly Prat Extra Dry white vermouth for years, but recently have read somewhere that Dolin is also excellent. Went to my local liquor store to buy Dolin white vermouth, and was asked whether I wanted the Dolin Blanc or the Dolin Dry, both of which are white! I haven't a clue as to which is the proper choice for a martini. Anyone know?
