venticello is booked ... similar suggestions for "romantic"?

jen maiser | Nov 8, 200202:01 PM     5

I have friends staying in town this weekend who are spending their first weekend away from the five-month old.

They were looking for a place that is:

- nearish to their hotel - Bush and Taylor
- maximum amount to spend for 2: approx $100-$120
- "quiet" and "romantic"
- takes reservations

Both love good food. Lean toward Italian, American, not Asian.

We had settled on Venticello for them to go to, but it is booked because of the Jazz Festival (doh!). Now where? I suggested somewhere on Belden Place or Scala's, but both seem very bustling and busy for what they are looking for.

Suggestions?

Thanks.
