My Venice list, January 2017

sidcundiff | Nov 26, 201612:32 PM     18

I’ve been to most of the restaurants listed below in February 2014. Good restaurants often have a short shelf life, so anyone’s recent experience would be welcome. One restaurant is new on the list; about this place the judgement of Chowhounds is also most welcome.

Ristorante Quadri, supper, Tuesday the 24th (I’ve never been here. I know it’s expensive. I’ve been told that the food is outstanding and the service is wanting.)

Fiaschetteria Toscana, supper, Wednesday the 25th (where I'll ask for the waiter Roberto!)

Gatte Nero (Burano) for lunch, late supper Vini da Gigio, Thursday the 26th

Osteria alle Testiere (2nd shift 9:30pm), Friday the 27th

Antiche Carampane, Saturday the 28th

Anice Stellato, Sunday the 29th.

Al Covo, I’m told, is closed in January. Otherwise it would be on my list.

Other suggestions welcome.

I promise reviews on Chowhound, with photos.
