Venice and Genova suggestions for a Week in September? [Split from Who has Plan? post]

flirtinfilly | Jun 16, 202107:13 PM     4

I'm headed to Venice in Sept. for a few days (to see family from Germany), then I have an unplanned week. I will celebrate my 70th birthday with friends in Genova before heading back to Baltimore, October 15th. I'm thinking Bologna/Modena/Parma for my free time - although I am tempted to head over to Alba. Much will depend on the virus status.

This will be my first trip back since February 2020, when I was in Pisa/Viareggio/Lucca just at the virus was starting to rage. My doctor refers to me as "patient zero" because I threw his office in a tizzy when I came home on March 1, since they had no protocols or tests. Things changed real fast in Baltimore after that!

Any Venice suggestions are welcome, as are any suggestions for the "in-between" time.
Ciao, tutti!
