Venice, Florence & Rome with Kids - Easter week

Hello,

I've been busy perusing the older posts on eating in these cities with kids, but I'd love to hear any additional suggestions. We have 10 days in Italy that we are splitting amongst these 3 cities. We will not have a kitchen, so will be eating out all meals (breakfast at the hotels). Our kids are 11, 8 & 6, and quite used to eating out - while the most romantic or fussy restaurants may not be terribly appropriate, generally they enjoy restaurants and are reasonably adventurous eaters. In Venice we are staying near San Marco - in Florence in Borgo San Frediano - and near the Pantheon in Rome. Any suggestions are most appreciated!

And since I've never been to Italy, a couple of general questions. Will 8pm be too early to be eating dinner? And how far ahead do you need to make reservations?

Many thanks!
