I'm trying to seek out some Venetian dishes (or sources for them). Has anyone stumbled across tiny Bianchetti on any menus? In Venice, bianchetti refers to red mullet, but I've heard of people serving other whitebait --- I'd love to find a restaurant that serves it. Also, anywone familiar with schie, the miniscule, super-sweet shrimp that's usually served with polenta?
What are everyone's favorite cichetti bars? I heard Vincent Scotto (whose pizzas were fantastic at Scopa)was preparing to open one.
