Restaurants & Bars 1

The thing about Veil is that the hype machine rolled in at full force, but Galusha is quite talented and in time Veil will be excellent, however I have dined there as well and was quite dissapointed. Being a restaurant owner myself I agree that it is tough to roll out with both barrels blazing in the beginning. Of course my new place has just clicked from day one but that is just pure luck combined with amazing personnel. As far as Rovers being an alternate spot I would disagree. They are just two different beasts. For me Rovers is a purely destination place (I love the place) serving top tier cuisine all the time and the prices are much higher. Veil is a psuedo hipster-neighborhood space which tends to hurt them as far as identity. Right now I have to say Crush all the way when it comes to eating out. I think Jason Wilson and his wife have really put together a great product and it is hitting on all cylinders at the moment. Just my two cents...
