So I tried making barley soup with vegetables yesterday, but I totally forgot to brown my onions. I used barley, vegetable broth, carrots, onions and celery - I just threw everything in the pot and simmered. I tried adding a bunch of spices but it just tastes like a lot of onion and not much else. Is there anything I can do to save my soup? I made a ton of it and I don't really want to throw it out.
