My spouse is vegetarian, though probably 95% of time vegan. We've been giving the little one a mostly vegan diet (again, probably 95% of the time - some eggs and sometimes yogurt). But it's mostly been traditional ingredients, lots of beans, lentils, tofu and so forth.
Never experimented with faux meats, or exotic tofus, or anything like that. Little one has been somewhat fussy with the meals of late, and perhaps broadening things will whet the appetite a little more.
I saw the faux meatball thread, so I'm thinking of trying the neat ball. Wonder if y'all have any recommendations or perhaps concerns to share, particular good brands and recipes too. It's not just new ingredients, but also the choice amongst brands that causes a bit of paralysis at the supermarket.
