Best Vegetarian-Friendly Places in River North/ Loop Area

NShewmaker | Mar 5, 201708:53 AM

Hey Guys,

I have a friend coming in from Brooklyn to visit who is a vegetarian. I already have a few places in mind to take her (Handlebar, Chicago Diner, etc.) but I'd really like to take her out to a few nice, fun places in River North or the Loop, however, looking at the menus of places like Purple Pig and such, they aren't particularly vegetarian-friendly (don't want her to only have one option). I have been to Lyfe Kitchen and Karyn's Cooked, but was not super impressed by either. Don't get me wrong, they were fine, but just not what I'm looking for when my friend is visiting.

Any and all suggestions appreciated. I'm also planning on taking her to Community Tavern in Portage Park as I live very close by and they have quite a few veggie options, but we'll be spending most of our time downtown sightseeing.

Thanks in advance!
