Welcome to the Dish of the Month (DOTM) reporting thread for October 2017. This month we’ve chosen to make Vegetable Fritters and Croquettes. This was a runaway winner so I hope to read lots of reports on what you’re making.
Broadly defined, we’re talking about taking small bits of vegetable and batter and making into a small cake, then cooking (deep frying, pan frying, even, I would imagine, baking). Fritters are found in many cuisines. Think of croquettes, pakora, rissoles and probably others that I haven’t mentioned.
Pictures of your results and links or descriptions of the recipes are encouraged. But, please respect the copyright of the recipe’s author by either: (a) including a link directly to the source of the recipe, or (b) if no link is available, use your own words to paraphrase and explain the instructions for making the dish (although you may directly quote any list and quantities of ingredients).
Now, let’s start cooking and eating some vegetable fritters!
