vegas report

Went to Vegas for 5 days. Stayed at a lower priced hotel for the first time and loved it, the Gold Coast for $45 a night. Good room, quick valet, easy walk to the Palms or Rio. Now to the chow.
1st night, Isis. UGH. Overstuffed, overpriced. Six waiters hovering around because they were not busy. I had the steak and lobster for $75. Nothing special.
2nd night, Blackstones. Nice place, good steak and Martini's. My wife had the Escargot and they were good. 3rd night, Mon Ami Gabi, the best meal of the trip. I had the short rib special and salad and escargot and my wife had the chicken. Both excellent and we could watch the fountains across the street. 4th night, I forgot the name but it is the Japanese Teppan Table at the Mirage. Always good if you want a show with the food. Played poker at the Palms and won!
