Vegas report

Alec T | Apr 25, 2003 06:12 PM

Thanks to my readings of this forum and some other research, our 3 night stay Vegas included the following:

- Mon Ami Gabi - great great great - the most tender and juiciest roast duck I have ever had. All in our party enjoyed it and it was their favourite place in vegas
- Delmonico - great meal, great service. The flavours in the dishes were amazing, but not all the dishes struck that intangible note with me. It's clearly well done but Creole/Southern not always my favourite type of food.
- Bellagio buffet brunch - fantastic buffet with huge selection of seafood. Boy did I over-eat.....
- breakfast at a little place in the Venetian - the best coffee I have had since Miami - and great cheap food to boot (I think it's called Tintoretto Bakery).

Unfortunately on one night our plans were scuttled and we stumbled on Il Fornaio in New York New York. Service was disinterested, and half the dishes were undercooked. Prices undeservedly high. Give it a miss.
