Hi! My husband and I will have 3 nights in Vegas next spring/summer as part of a 3 week roadtrip (we will be on holiday from the UK). For one of our 3 nights we would like to splurge on a meal although I would like to stick to a max of $200 per head. I have read these boards in quite a lot of detail so know what the top choices seem to be at the moment for the best food, but I have noticed that a lot of the restaurants mentioned are the children of restaurants elsewhere in the US and the world such as Joel Robuchon's restaurant empire (we have one in London as well). I would like to have a meal that is a totally Vegas experience, but with top notch food. That doesn't mean I would rule out Robuchon if chowhounders felt there was something about that particular restaurant that made it 'only in Vegas'. It could be the decor (ostentatious?) or a view perhaps? Or is there a restaurant that really is both unique to Vegas and very worth a trip? I would definitely like to go somewhere with a bit of showmanship! I do like the look of Le Cirque, but I know that is also a NY restaurant as well. Any ideas?
