Had a convo with a hotndog vendornthe other day who was telling me about his favorite soul food place in NY. It sounds delicious- mac and cheese, collards, yams, etc. But he said they use pork in EVERYTHING. SonI'm hunting for soul food like that but without the pork, and preferably without any mear or chellfishnat all.
Am I barking up the wrong tree? Does such a thingp exist? And, as a last resort, if there is no such place, at least tell me who has really great mac and cheese, without bacon etc.
