A Vegan Antipasto Platter?

nothingswrong | Jul 20, 201507:53 PM     56

Hi all, I'm hosting a few ladies this weekend in the afternoon for a hangout, drinks, nibbles, and chit chat. Maybe some pool time if it's not too hot.

There will be vegan(s) in attendance. I figure it would be easiest to just do a mostly vegan spread, and since it's in the afternoon, no actual sit down meal. In the past I've done charcuterie and cheeses, with interesting dips like muhammara or trapanese pesto, fresh fruit, olives, baby greens, and homemade bread turned into crostini. It's always gone over exceedingly well.

I'm a bit lost with the vegans though (no meat and cheese just means fruit, veggies, nuts?) even though I was one for quite some time. Would a spread like this make sense, or should I do something else? Mind you it has been extremely hot and humid here, so nobody feels like eating anything heavy until nightfall.

Please no suggestions for tofu or seitan or other faux meat type things. I know they don't eat those things.

Any ideas greatly appreciated. Also any ideas for non-alcoholic drinks. Thanks!
