Help with Veal Marrow

I bought some veal marrow bones with the intention of making veal stock. I was wondering if I could roast the veal bones, eat the marrow, and then make stock out of the leftovers. Is that possible, or do I need the marrow to make good stock? I've never made stock before so I this is why I'm asking. =)
