Restaurants & Bars

Vans Vietnamese Albany

jd | Jan 16, 2006 04:31 PM

We drove up to Albany yesterday and tried Vans for dinner. Over the years I`ve eaten quite a few meals at the Vietnamese restaurants in Chinatown, NYC. In general, Van`s is more expensive and not as good as those restaurants. However, it`s as good or better than anything I`ve had in NY outside of NYC.

summer rolls - good
spring rolls - not as fat as I`m used to but tasty
Pho - great, we shared this as appetizer.

entrees
noodles, spring rolls, shrimp - great

Van`s bbq pork - ok, not sure why they call this bbq other than the sauce

price - 3 appetizers, 3 entrees, tea, one soda, easily fed 3 kids and two adults, $70
