Vancouver Veggie Rec's (special occasion) -- For 7 T.O. chowhounds

Hi Everyone,

I will be getting married in Vancouver, this July, and we will be spending the first week of our honeymoon in the city. We plan to day trip to other areas, also. We are both strict vegetarians (no fish, but we do eat limited amounts of dairy). We don't mind to eat at restaurants that aren't strictly vegetarian, so long as there are plenty of choices that include appropriate protein options for us (like tofu). But we also want to try a large number of strictly vegetarian restaurants, too! We will have five people flying in with us (from Toronto). We will all be staying at the Westin Grand, downtown.

Please help us out fellow chowhounds!

We need a variety of restaurant recommendations:
-romantic recs for dinner (on our wedding night) Would prefer something very high end / very special to suit the occasion.

-something very nice/special for our wedding day brunch
(there will be 7 of us in total). We will be getting married at Grouse mountain, so any nice brunch place relatively nearby to Grouse would be good.

-a variety of high range, mid range options for lunches/dinners and brunches on our remaining days (after the wedding). A few rec's for low range 'bites on the go' while we are out sightseeing would be good too.

-also, we are looking for a *very special* bakery that can make us a small, beautiful, vegetarian wedding cake (10 servings). We definitely don't want our cake to have any eggs or butter in it, milk is okay (if absolutely necessary) but we'd prefer if it didn't include milk, either.

--we'd also like to visit a few open-air markets/farmers markets/organic markets (any rec's??)

--Lastly, please feel free to email me any recommendations for great things to do, places to go, shopping/outdoorsy stuff...any leads would be GREATLY appreciated. I am frantically planning all of this myself, from another city, (we've never been to vancouver) and it is very overwhelming!!!
