My husband and I will be in NY for Bruce Springsteen on Broadway the first weekend in June for 4 nights. Our favourite restaurants in town are Le Bernardin, Le Cou Cou, and Scalinatella. He is a meat eater and I am a pescatarian who prefers farm to table ingredients when possible. We like Italian, French, and American in NY as we have a lot of good Japanese and Chinese choices here.
We have already made reservations at Le Bernardin for Thurs night. Are thinking of Scalinatella for another.
Other restaurants that we are thinking of are Frenchette and Simon and the Whale. Le Cou Cou too but wondering if its still good?
I like restaurants that have a buzzy atmosphere esp on this trip as we are traveling sans kids. So please keep that in mind when recommending.
The concert is at 8pm on Friday so we would have to have an earlier dinner that eve.
Also are looking for a good brunch Sat and Sun. I always hear about the Breslin. Is that the best choice? I need to make reservations and cannot go to a no reserve spot as I am just too hungry in the morning to wait.
We are staying at 1 Hotel Central Park, close to the Plaza. We usually have quick weekday breakfasts in the Plaza food hall and will do the same this trip on Thurs and Fri unless there is something else really good close to our hotel.
We love going out to a nice lounge or cocktail bar after dinner for a drink so if there are any good bars to recommend that would be much appreciated. Maybe a nice hotel bar/lounge with piano one night, something more lively and fun for another.
Thanks in advance for your help!
