"Van Gogh" Kent Mangoes @ Fresh Market Produce | Salinas

Melanie Wong | Feb 18, 201710:30 PM     2

Kent mangoes imported from Peru are among my favorites of the varieties available to us locally. Large and meaty in relation to the size of the pit, not fibrous, lovely aromatics, and sweet clean flavors. The season usually spans the first quarter of the year and they're approaching peak now.

I've been buying the Van Gogh brand and non-branded Kents for $1.25 apiece at Fresh Market Produce in Salinas.
